Kendra Graduates!

Kendra Griffis enrolled in Loaves and Fishes 12 years ago.  Saturday, May 29, she will graduate from Green Hope High School. She will be the first person in her immediate or extended family to graduate from high school. She has been accepted at four colleges but is undecided on which she will attend in the fall.

Kendra’s academic accomplishment is the result of hard work and determination. When she fell behind a year in high school, she did what it took to make up make up that year and graduate on time. She is a very considerate young lady, an intelligent thinker, and is able to articulate her thoughts and feelings very effectively. She is friendly and respectful, maintains a positive attitude, and has been a marvelous influence on her peers. 

Kendra was awarded the 2004 Sharon Williams Friendship Award at Loaves and Fishes.  She won this award because of the kind way in which she treats all of her friends and the younger children in the program.
